This hotel is not only suitable for "history buffs" but for anyone looking for an elegant hotel.
Originally, the main building consisted of two adjacent houses one of which is largely built with English ballast bricks. 
There are superior rooms in the Plantation House taking you back to a bygone era but with modern amenities. The newer rooms are reflective of this same style but are modern with antique replicas.
The Deluxe Duplex Suites and Deluxe Rooms are located in the new wing. Room amenities include:
Mini-refrigerator, phone, satellite TV, VCR, CD player, air-conditioner, coffee maker, ceiling fans, hair dryer, iron, ironing service, radio, safe, tub/shower, King four-poster or two double beds.
Superior Rooms are located in the Plantation House, a historical building, overlooking the courtyard and gardens. Room amenities include: Air-conditioner, coffee maker, ceiling fans, hair dryer, iron, ironing service, phone, radio, safe, satellite TV, tub/shower, mini-refrigerator, king four poster or queen bed.
All rooms feature antique style mahogany furniture, to create an elegant ambience, and high-speed internet access. Fax and printer is available in select rooms. There are connecting rooms, and rooms to accommodate the physically challenged. The Savannah also offers a complimentary video and CD library.
The beach in front of The Savannah is not large but it is adequate and the seawater is generally low in this area. However, there is nice stretch of beach within walking distance.
The Savannah provides a complimentary shuttle, twice a day, to the popular Rockley Beach.
There is a great pool on the hotel property,
and guests have their choice of the pool, the beach at The Savannah, or free transportation to Rockley Beach.
The Savannah has two restaurants, and the most popular is the Boucan Wine Bar and Restaurant which is known its international cuisine with a
Caribbean flair.
