NBA Player Enhances Basketball in Barbados
NBA player James Jones, also known as "JR", is on the island of Barbados to enhance the sport of basketball on the island. Jones was recently traded in a $3 million NBA draft deal by the Phoenix Sun to the Portland Trailblazers.
Jones is married to a Bajan, and after leaving the NBA players meeting in the Bahamas, they both traveled back to her island home.

BTA hosts New York radio station in Barbados
The island of Barbados reached 1.5 million listeners in New York with a three day live broadcast by 101.1 JACK FM's promotion with the Barbados Tourism Authority.
And starting next week, the radio station will offer six listeners an opportunity to win a trip to Barbados by registering online, and then calling the station within 30 minutes if their name is called.
Air Jamaica will provide airfare, and the participating Barbados properties are The Hilton, Treasure Beach and The Crane Hotel.
