Barbados Athletes Win at World Senior Games in Utah

This first day of competition was this past Monday, and Barbados senior women athletes have so far won six medals at the 2007 Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah.
Held each year in St. George, Utah, this event attracts athletes age 50 and above. It's a good thing to see international seniors competing, and showing the world they are in great athletic shape.
Barbadian Esther Worrel took a gold medal in the women's 55-60 age group shot putt.
And Janita Austin won a gold medal in the 50-54 age group women's shot put, and then Janita took the silver medal in the high jump.
Barbadian seniors Kathy Harper-Hall, Shirley Harper and Ainsley Lovell all won bronze medals in the standing broad jump event.
