The new BMA website will be up and running October 1, and will list the nominees for this years event, along with the ability to text your vote for the Digicel Viewers Choice Award. I will post the site when it's available.
Last year was the first time the BMA event was held, and Bajan artist Rihanna took home a total of eight awards. Other winners at last years event included:

Another award winner of the night was Nicholas Branker who won the Icon Award, and this particular award will never again be given at the annual BMA event.
The Icon Award was presented to reward the individual who has single-handedly caused a revolution in the way Barbadian music is perceived in the region and by extension the globe.
I'll keep you posted on this event, and when the website gets up and running.
