Best of Barbados Program - Canadian Restrictions
Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 06:10PM A reader from Canada wrote that he was unable to access any of the "Best of Barbados" deals from Air Canada. According to the info I received, the program is only being offered from the U.S.
That is not to say Canadians cannot access the Best of Barbados deals from the U.S., but the additional cost of traveling to the U.S., and then on to Barbados, and the return trip has to be considered - Linda
Here's the original announcement from the Barbados Tourism Authority:
In announcing the package, Stuart Layne, President of the Barbados Tourism Authority, said, "The Best of Barbados package is a joint initiative between the Government and the private sector. It is our way of giving something back to the market that has meaningfully supported Barbados over the years. Mr. Layne continued, "It also creates an excellent opportunity for Americans who have never visited the island before to do so at a price that is extremely attractive."
An additional note was also added:
"The Best of
Barbados" program is available for travel from the U.S. only, not from
Canada. Passports are required for travel to Barbados.
