Bajan Rhythms & Roots
Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at 01:54PM When in Barbados, the one show you must not miss is
Bajan Roots & Rhythms,
very Wednesday and Friday.
It is the only dinner and cabaret style show designed to offer visitors a genuine representation of Barbadian and Caribbean culture.
Picture yourself in Bridgetown of yesteryear where you meet characters such as the ‘Nut Seller’. Or back to the present day as the sexy ‘Dance Hall Queens’ dance to the pulsating rhythms of popular reggae artists..
Feeling a little Latin?
The Hot Latin number will leave you breathless as the dancers electrify at ‘Club Havana’. All this plus dazzling costumes, breathtaking movements of the Stilt Walkers, Tumblers, Fire Eater, Flag Waver and ‘Mother Sally’ who will make you laugh until you cry.
The evening ends with the Plantation Band, the best band on the island which is made up of accomplished musicians, with the very talented local icon, John King on lead vocals.
It is no ordinary evening out; it is a Dinner, Show and Party!
