Magnet Man Headlines Festival
Monday, April 17, 2006 at 08:00PM The 3 day Barbados Hip Hop Festival just wrapped up, and was quite a success, according to festival organizers.
The first night of the festival was held at the Ship Inn in the St Lawrence Gap, and featured the popular band Strategy, and the event was hosted by Juliessa from BET (Black Entertainment Television) in the U.S.
The Olympus Theater at the Sheraton Center was the venue for the second night featuring local hip hop acts.
The headline performer was international Bajan performer, Magnet Man, who flew in from his European tour just for the event.
Concert goers say his performance was one of his best, and even included special big screen effects that were synchronized with the music, along with 3-D effects that impressed the crowd.
After the show, Magnet Man had to board a plane for the UK to finish upcoming concert dates, and prepare for his big performance next month in Russia, and will be the first Bajan artist to perform in the former Soviet Union.
