Bargains Galore at Sam Lord's Sale

Everything Goes! And indeed almost everything went yesterday, as bargain hunters converged on the Sam Lord's Castle Resort to snatch up the deals on the hotel's old furniture.

DROVES OF bargain seeking citizens flooded the Sam Lords Castle Resort yesterday, seeking deals on furniture, appliances and other items being sold from the St Philip hotel.

The scene was more reminiscent of a flea market than a once four-star resort.

Beds, mirrors, televisions, sofas and more were being piled onto waiting lorries and pick-ups as buyers cashed in on the rock bottom prices being offered for the merchandise.

Some came away with lorry-loads of goodies, while others made away with bags of little trinkets and some took the opportunity to procure some of the exotic plant life still growing on the compound.

Although there were some complaints about the organization of the sale, hardly anyone came away from the bazaar empty handed.
