Barbados Holetown Festival

On Sunday, the Holetown Festival wrapped up with a service at St. James Parish Church, a mini concert featuring a gospel band, and the Banks/Coco Cola Queen of the Festival Pageant.
This years festival was the 30th anniversary of when the first settlers arrived at Holetown.
The street fair featured island vendors, an antique car parade, marching bands, and the dancers from Dance Africa. The primary schools were also represented with dancers from Erdiston and Luther Thorne.
Last Friday, one of the popular events of the festival was held, the Grant Floodlit Tattoo with music provide by the world re-known Royal Barbados Police Force Band. (picture shown above) Stilt walkers, as well as the Holetown Dooflicky and a Festival Fashion Show at the Glitter Bay Hotel, among other activities.
Of course the roving Tuk Band was on hand to provide musical entertainment throughout the festival.
