About the Film:
Barbados will host the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 Final Match and the Bridgetown Film Festival will pay tribute to this sport with cricket films such as “Lagaan”, “Iqbal” and “Playing Away” from the diverse cricketing nations participating in the World Cup.
The Bridgetown Film Festival has already agreed to also screen the new Caribbean film – “Hit For Six!” during this high-profile international event. This film is the passion and brainchild of independent Caribbean filmmaker and producer Alison Saunders-Franklyn. She has written, produced and directed documentaries, public service announcements, short format dramas for television and radio over the last two decades.
Her documentary, “The Woman’s Journey” won the Barbados Association of Journalists Award.
