Easy Cruise From Barbados
easyGroup, which operates the new no-frills easyCruise, signed an agreement with Internet retailer www.lastminute.com. easyCruise was launched earlier this year in the Mediterranean and now is operating its first Caribbean season.
Lastminute.com is the only online travel retailer currently to have an allocation of cabins on easyCruiseOne in the Caribbean this winter.
Lastminute.com is offering pre-packaged trips onboard the ship -- a move away from easyCruise's usual component-driven travel -- but is trying to give the consumer flexibility by offering departures on Thursday from Grenada, Friday from St Lucia and Saturday from Barbados.
Prices start from £499 for a seven-night cruise plus return flights to Europe in January. easyCruiseOne stays in port in the afternoon and into the evening to encourage passengers to enjoy the destination's attractions and its nightlife rather than herding them back on to the ship for the evening.
The seven-day rolling itinerary for the easyCruiseOne with winter is Grenada on Thursday, St. Lucia on Friday, Barbados on Saturday and Sunday, St. Vincent on Monday, Martinique on Tuesday and The Grenadines on Wednesday. For more information, visit www.easycruise.com.
