Intimate Hotels of Barbados Rating System
(1 Palm ) - Small apartment hotel/apartment/guesthouse, privately owned and run. Clean accommodation, providing acceptable comfort. Furnishings and facilities good but simple. Not all bedrooms will have air conditioning, television, telephone or kitchenette facilities ensuite. Possibly no ensuite bathroom facilities. Properties may not offer restaurant or pool facilities. Acceptable overall level of quality and service. All properties are centrally located but few properties may be on the beach.
(2 Palm) - Small apartment hotel/apartment/guesthouse, privately owned and run. Clean accommodation with an increased standard of quality and confort. Many offer full reception service, restaurant and bar. All rooms will have ensuite bathroom facilities. All rooms have kitchenettes. Most bedrooms have air conditioning. Most rooms also offer telephones and television. Many properties offer pool facilities. Most properties are located near to, or directly on, the beach.
(3 Palm ) - Small apartment-hotel/apartment/all-inclusive, privately owned and run. Offering a greater range of facilities and services and a restaurant and bar. Most rooms have ensuite facilities, including kitchenette, bathroom, telephone, television and air conditioning. Most properties have pools and many are on the beach.

The Intimate Hotels of Barbados also known as "The Small Hotels of Barbados" is a non-profit company formed under the umbrella of the BHTA in February 2000.
We represent over 40 Barbados hotels, apartment hotels, guesthouses and villas located all around the island of Barbados.
