Bottom BayBottom Bay is a favorite picnic spot with Bajans and visitors.
Located in a bay and surrounded by high coral cliffs, Bottom Bay is the perfect beach postcard with lots of coconut trees, crystal turquoise water, and a large expansive beach area.
Take your own food and drink as facilities are not nearby. A very popular beach for surfers. Beach lovers will find lots of secluded spots.

Mullins Beach Mullins Beach is a very popular hangout with snorkelers. Located in a cove, the water is always calm, and crystal clear.
You'll find plenty of places to eat, especially Mullins Beach Bar, and parking is provided across the street. Beach chairs are available for rent.
Dover Beach, located in the middle of the St Lawrence Gap, this beach provides cooling trade winds and is popular with wind surfers.
Much of the beach has a strong current, but the reefs at the opposite end provides good swimming and wading.
Divi Southwinds and Southern Palms restaurants located on the beach. A variety of watersports offered and lots of other restaurants right off the beach in the Gap.
The eastern part of Worthing Beach is a great beach for kids, and those who just like to wade.
The beach opens into a lagoon, and the waters are usually very calm. You can wade far out and the highest water depth is only about five feet deep.
Accra Beach (shown at left) is also known as Rockley Beach. You'll find a combination of calm waters, and big waves.
Lots of vendor stalls located directly on the beach, and a wide variety of watersports offered.
St Lawrence Bay is located at the entrance of the St Lawrence Gap. The bay is protected by a large reef, and the water barely comes to your knees. A great place to snorkel or just wade in the warm Caribbean Sea.
Foul Bay is a spectacular beach that is usually quiet. There are no facilities, so it is best to take your own food and drink. A great place for a day picnic. About a half mile down the road is Crane Beach.
Crane Beach is located at the famous Crane Hotel, and has been voted one of the ten best beaches in the world by "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous".
You will have to walk down to the beach, and there is a charge for parking. You must have lunch at The Crane, and enjoy the wonderful view.

Paynes BeachPaynes Bay is located in St James near the exclusive Sandy Lane Hotel. You'll find a large beach with plenty of watersports and a nice beach bar.
The water is always calm at Paynes Bay, and there are plenty of shady trees. The Coach House has a small beach stand that provides drinks and snacks.
Miami Beach is right next door to Oistins Fishing Village. This beach is a favorite with local Bajans on the weekends, however through the week you will not find it crowded. Lots of good food provided right on the beach.
Silver Sands Beach is located on the South East coast of Barbados. The beach has lots of sand dunes, and is most popular with wind surfers. Most of the residents at Silver Sands Hotel Resort come just for wind surfing.
Bathsheba is on the East Coast, and while the other beaches listed here are located on the calm, Caribbean Sea, Bathsheba is located on the rugged Atlantic ocean side. This beach is home to the world Wind Surfing Championships, and swimming is not recommended.
The Bathsheba Pools provide a unique experience for those who just have to get into the water. These inshore pools are just a few feet deep, and Bajans just love to have rum parties here in the pools on weekends.
Bathsheba is the perfect spot for a picnic, or a long beach walk. There are huge boulders that look like giant mushrooms - these are rock formations that broke away from the ancient coral reefs.
Bath Beach is the perfect swimming beach, and there are plenty of shady trees to relax under with a picnic lunch.
There are no restaurants here, but changing rooms are provided as well as a very nice picnic area.
How about "Natures Own" Swimming Pool?
On the North East coast at Little Bay you will find a swimming pool that mother nature has been carved out of rock.
Little Bay also offers blow holes and some magnificent scenery. Blow holes are created by water moving through natural tunnels cut in the rock by the coast.
As the tunnels get closer to the coast, they turn upwards creating a fountain.
